Need Help

i have a 91 Cavalier its been sitting for a wile on my driveway
i just pushed it into the garage and trying to get her running

when i try to start the car the engine turns but wont turn over
i got my friend to try and start it and i was looking down at the belt and one of the wheels are spining but its not moveing the belt to turn any of the other wheels

i had the engine running when the belt broke off and and i wraped a pariof pantyhose around the wheels and it was running like that for about 3 min LOL but i got the belt on and it just wont start

it has new spark plugs new battary and new belt



if anyone can give me some tips on what to do i would be very greatfull

Stale fuel is definately a problem. I suggest draining it and buying a few gallons of high octane to clean out what's left. That and check your connections, grounds & fuses/relays.

thanx man ill try that also i think one of the wheels are stiff i think its the
a/c big wheel right beside the crank do u of a way to get it turning again?

another idea for ya would be that thing that is not turning is prolly an air conditioning compressor buy a belt for the model without air conditioning the you wont have to burn it to and it wont effect anything else

except for darining the fuel becouse i dono how LOL im no good with cars

when i try to start it the crank is still turning everythign seems to be working fine put it just wont turn right over it gets the the point where its gonna turn car shakes mufler kicks in but nothing els
