You must have taken that shot in mid-2000 when Mr Blair was getting the car refitted prior to it coming to the USA. I had found it not too long ago inside your webshots album. It's a great shot.

Do you have any other photos from your factory visit you can share with us? Stuff like that is always of great interest to me.

Interesting... the date you took the photo tells me that Blair may have sent the car back to McLaren for the interior refit after bringing it to the USA.

Was it you that sent me those GTR photos? Cool! I have the email in my inbox still, but just haven't taken the time to reply yet. Did you want me to host those images and share them here, or will you be doing that yourself? I'm sure others here would love to see those shots too.

I also saw the car in October 2001 at Laguna Seca as well and had a chat with Mr Blair.

You can post the photo if that ok.

Here another one from the factory visted and one from the 1996 race at
Silverstone taken in the pit garage on the Friday of free practice i was lucky to get into pits garages of most of the team and they let me taken some photos which i did.

I can't view the pics. It says 403 Forbidden. Is there another way of posting them up? Thanks in advance.

Cool, thanks for the link! Do you know which chassis that road car is? What about the long tail GTR at Goodwood 2004? Thanks!

Edit: I'm thinking the 42 Fina long tail is 24R...

Re: new member

I sorry i don't know the chassis number of the road car,

No 42 from Goodwood 2004 came from the BMW Museum as it was the Factory car from 1997 season.

Just speculating here: The road car with the high mirrors could be #040 prior to it's refit to blue.
