Exhaust tip question

since i dont like the tiny rustic looking exhaust on the focus and i don't have the money to get an actual focussport exhaust system i was thinking about getting a nice looking stainless steel exhaust tip or something..my question is, can it just be bolted on over the current, or would the stock exhaust tip have to be cut off..this is the one i was looking at..http://gmocart2.gmotion.com/store/me...e=sport_series

Re: Exhaust tip question

It just screws on...may have to drill some holes, but nothing major. If money's an issue, look into an MRPB exhaust (mrpb.com) for a full stainless exhaust system that gives the same gains as a FocusSport kit. HTH

I have one of those on my focus and even though it does improve the look JUST A LITTLE... its still kind of tacky looking. you should probably check out advance auto parts or auto zone or somewhere and buy one of those $90 chrome APC mufflers that EVERY civic owner has, and just replace the muffler itself. it shouldnt even be that hard to install, just two elbow joint pipes, a straight pipe, and if you dont want to weld it, you can just use muffler clamps. even though its nothing to "ooh and aah" over, it still looks much better than the $10 chrome tip on the stock exhaust. (you could even get on eBay and find one of those APC mufflers in all kinds of styles, usually from $30 up including S&H.)
