Unhappy UK Girly needs car info advice

Hi - I wasn't sure where to go with this - Searchs don't help as i don't know any proper names!!

I really want to buy a 'hard top soft top' like the one on the peugeot 206cc - but i don't want that pat. car...

I found a BMW z3 by fluke walking past the garage - but couldn't reach the pedals comfortably... cringe!

So my dual questions are..

1) What other cars have a hard top soft top (whats the proper name for this or do diff manufacturers use diff names?) are there alot avalailable now??

2) Would moving the whole runners the seat sits on make a car illegal or dangerous or is is straightforward? (Even with some car seats fully forward I struggle) If these runners were forward - It would work for me...

Thanks loads for any advice or signposting

Dayzee UK x

what do you mean hard soft top? like a hard top convertable? Honda Delsol's have a removable top, ummm, i dont know if M3's have thoes or not, um Transam have T-Tops... no cars come to mind immediatly that have have hard tops but are also convertable, maybe 3 series? im not sure.

Cheers for reply - The type i mean are metal topped like a normal car - but push a button inside and the roof folds down into the car and its a convertable!

The cars you mention like Trans am are rare here in England!

Re: UK Girly needs car info advice

i am not exactly sure of what cars are sold in europe, but i think the audi TT offers a hardtop convertible, so do mercedes SLK's.
lexus SC430 is also a hardtop covertable.
BMW does offer a removable hardtop kit; were you can turn a softtop 3-series into a removable hardtop.

theres also news that volvo will be comming out with a convertible hardtop next year. you might consider waiting abit.
