Angry 99 sebring # 8 fuse blows

Went to start my 99 sebring the other morning nothing Looked at it today only blow fuse when in start position. Tetsed started relay it's ok pulled the starter out bench tested it with another battery jumper cables and remote starter switch, it works fine. how can I check the amp draw? I saw in some other real old post problem with same fuse # if it's not the starter what else,don't want to spend 200.00 on a starter if I don't need one. the car only has 82000 miles on it HELP. where can I find a better wiring diagram the hanynes book no much help.

Have a '98 with 141K miles. Replaced burnt starter.

What exactly do you mean by " # 8 fuse blows?" Is that the big pinkish fuse... the 30A? If so, mine did the same thing... kept blowing that 30A (ENGINE) fuse and it turned out to be the starter.

Since my SEBRING is a 97, I guess it was time to replace that bad boy, eh!
