Stalls

Hello,
We have a 1991 Chevy Cavelier 4 cylander\auto that stalls after about an hour of stop & go driving. It hesitates and stall when we are stopped at a light. It always restarts again after a few trys. We have had it in the shop and they can find nothing wrong with it. They have replaced the filters, clean the carb and replaced the spark plugs, but it still stalls. A year ago we replace the oxygen sensor so I dont think that is the problem.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Exclamation stalling at stops

Hi, I have a 89 cavalier that had that problem about a year and a half ago. Try the TCC solenoid (torque converter clutch solenoid). I am pretty sure at what it does is regulates the down shifting of the car when you slow down. One thing though, don't let a garage tell you that you need a transmission overhaul. I had a place tell me that, and that it would cost about a grand. I went to get a second opinion from another garage, and they told me that they had no idea what they were talking about. They were trying to sell me something that I didn't need. Try that, hopefully that solves it.
