RearHatch-The little things that piss you off

Ever notice how it's the little things that can make you mad? I was taking off this back visor on the hatch and since the car had been sitting for a while, I sprayed some WD40 on the hatch bolts, then I did the same thing on the top, which I didn't know I shouldn't have done at the time. I took a crescent wrench and took one nut off and pulled the bolt out. Took the visor mount off and screwed back in the bolt. Perfect.

On the other side, the top was too slippery so when I went to turn the bolt, I thought I heard a crack and I saw the bolt was spinning on the top too. So I got some nails and lightly hammered them into the plastic bolt, over the glass. I tried turning the bolt again while holding the nails, which went flying inside the hatch jam...I finally got this brilliant Idea I'd cut out half of the bolt to make my own flat head screw out of it. less than a cm down, the plastic exposed METAL. I tried it anyway, held a bottle opener, some spackling tools, and the bolt won't hold still!!!!!!

....I never got the hatch bolt off but my cousin came in to help me. I showed him how no matter what I tried, if you tried to move the nut, the bolt moved with it. So he takes a screwdriver and pries the visor mount off, I'm like, did you crack it off?

Then I took a closer look, there was no bolt hole....it was...open ended....so the fun part was getting the double sided tape mount off, I rolled the steel up like a pastry lol. So the worst is over and my hatch looks great *cleaning off tape now*

btw, those 305 tbi's are nice, I almost bought a 92 but it was modified with an automatic "can't make everyone happy" sounded mean though
