Focus w/ Mustang Engine

Okay, this is something that I heard you could do. I'm looking for some input to see if it is actually possible. I have a 2000 Focus LX, stock engine. I want to replace my crappy stock engine with a 1960 or so Mustang V6 engine. Any ideas? or at least any ideas where I could find some info?
Thanks!

Personally if your going with an engine swap id drop a small block V8 with a rear wheel drive conversion in there..... why settle for a V6 when you can get a V8????

Re: Focus w/ Mustang Engine

I have seen a 2.5 liter SVT Contour V6 in a Focus; it was one of the options for the engine in the SVT Focus, while it was still in the planning stages. There is absolutely no room left in the engine compartment, and a lot had to be relocated...it could be done, but it wouldn't be all that cheap. There is always the Ford Racing 5.0V8, RWD conversion kit, if you've got about $14,000 to spare.
