Re: Twilight sentinel 93 SSEi

It's the sensor on the top of the dash on the far left side. It's flat, black and has a small "eye" in the middle. If you have Electronic Climate Control, there is also a solar sensor in the middle of the dash. This is a little dome looking thing and has nothing to do with the sentinel.

Mine doesn't work either so I took a quick look at the manual. There was two pages of diagrams. Since I didn't have much time, I put it off. That was a month ago and I still haven't had time to dig into the car.

One of these days... maybe

Thanks, I'll look into it.

I've been replacing sensors like crazy lately. Right now I'm not sure if I want to be bothered with it. The other factor I wonder about is cost. Oh well.

The sentinel sensors can be tested easy enough with a multimeter. It is just a variable resistor depending on how much light it sees. If yours tested to be bad, you could replace it with a junk yard one for $5 I bet. Bring the multimeter to the junk yard so you don't but a bad one.

there's a lot more to the circuit than just that sensor though and they don't go bad too often. It might just be partially unplugged. that's easy to check too.
