Question Gti camshaft

Hi there
I have a question concerning Gti camshafts. I have a 94 Golf3 Gti, I tried a 276 degree cam in there but it has killed the take off and helped
significantly at top end.I am not happy with that as I want the car to perform at take off. The standard cam of that car is marked "A". The Golf2 Gti,Golf1 Cti cams are marked "G". I was told that the "G" cam should be better that the original "A" cam. Please would the VeeDubz Hotshots share their knowledge on this. Also how much more can be expected if the car is chipped...

Any views will be appreciated!!

The CTI ran a 255 deg cam if I can make a recommendation I would go for a 268-272 step cam they give great service on those motors without killing your lowend to much. The G cam does help quite a bit if you think that the cti was a 1800 and the GTI a 2L but the power on them was identical.but I have to warn you the higher the degrees on the cam the higher the the power shifts up the revline.

a 276 cam is HUGE for a 2.0. It even states in alomst all cam manuf. that the cam will kill daily drivability and help out alot on the top end. cams are made for racing not daily drivers.
