Replacing CD Player, Keeping other OEM systems
The OEM CD player in my 2001 Silhouette is having spot-stoppage problems. It isn't skipping, but pausing.
My vehicle has a full OEM audio-video system, plus On Star. If I replace the CD player with a 3rd party system, I wouldn't want to lose the other capabilities. Has anyone found a way to do this with any system? |

just a note for the searching record:
my 2001 silhouette CD player overheats after extended play on a highway drive.

Isn't integration wonderful?
I don't beleive there is an adapter so that you can use an aftermarket radio with your On Star. You might give a place like Crutchfield or a local car audio speciality shop a call to see if there are options out there.
