Fiberglass mold fabrication

Hello Everyone

Wasn't sure were exactly to post this but I know muscle car guys are all hardcore about doing things themselves. I would like to learn more about making molds for fiberglass. My friend and I want to make a custom fiberglass body for his car. The main purpose for it of cause is to remove all the metal parts from the car to make it lighter and of cause give it a better look. So far I know that I would need to make a mold but I don't know how to make it. I know there are places that cutout molds out of foam using auto cad and a robot arm but I don't know where to find those places or how much it costs. I also heard that you have to apply pressure on fiberglass in order for it to take shape?

Any bit of information about this would be really grateful.
