1995 dakota no spark at coil no fuel 3.9
went to use my truck yesterday and it won't start. I pulled a plug checked for spark-nothing. checked the wires leading to the coil - no voltage. I also don't think its getting fuel. I noticed when you turn the key to run before cranking the check engine light does not come on. when the check engine light comes on it starts. Is the computer getting juice ? How can I tell? Any help----thanks

Re: 1995 dakota no spark at coil no fuel 3.9
chances are, your ASD relay is acting up. It's located under the hood in your fuse box. Try swapping it out with the A/C relay and see if it fires up then. If the ASD trips, usually there is something that trips it, such as the crank sensor. To find out if you have any engine codes in memory, turn your ignition key on/off 3xs ending in the "ON" position. The check engine light will flash, if it flashes twice then pauses and flashes another 4xs, that's a code. 24. If you get a code 12, that means your battery has been disconnected w/in the last 50 start-ups. The final code you'll get a 55 which is an "End Of Code" message. Try the codes first, then move on to the ASD relay.
