2002 ford explorer ses code p1401
Hello everyone,
Im new to this forum. I have a 2002 ford explorer and just about 2 weeks ago the service engine light came on, well i took it to autozone and had the codes read and it came up with a p1401. Does anyone know what this pertains to and how i could fix it without having to sell my house and go to the dealer? Your help would be much apprectiated. Thanks, Shane

The most common failure for this code is the DPFE sensor. Ford had an extended warranty period of 5/50 on certain model years.
