Lightbulb 2000 Intrepid Dash Removal

Can anyone give me instructions as to how to remove the dash in my Intrepid? I just got it, and plan on putting another stereo in it, and running the wires through the trim, but I need to know how to pop the dash off to get to the harness and all that. If you could let me know, I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Re: 2000 Intrepid Dash Removal

In order to remove the trim around the stereo/ climate controles you will need to pop off the trim around the shift nob. You don't have to remove it but do pop it up. First, put your car into neutral and press the ebrake so it doesn't roll. There are no screws holding the trim down. Simply pull up on it. Once its up youll have turn it a bit to the side (just so you can pop off the other trim). Once its out of the way all you do is again pull at the trim around the stereo. It isn't fastened down either with any screws. Thatll give you access to your stereo. Its held with 4 screws. Remove them and pull the unit. release the harness and your antenna connections.

These are instructions for an Intrepid with the middle console...for ones with the front bench seat, they may not work
