Ciggarette Lighter

Ok so here is the story. I have 3 ciggarette lighter adapter things in my truck. 1 in the ashtray and 2 just to the right and down a bit. About a month ago the farthest one away from the driveers seat stopped working, yesterday the one just to the left of it stopped working, and last night the one in the ashtray stopped working!!!!!!!!! So now I can't charge my cell phone with the vehicle adapter. This is on a 98LT. I have no blown fuses and just can't figure out would have caused it. Thanks for the help.

I apologize, there was a fuse blown for the ashtray lgihter, replaced it works now. The other two still do not function at all ;(

Seems like somebody is confused on the matter.You sure all fuses good to go and have you checked for loose wires in that thing,maybe you wiggled a wire loose or have a loose contact somewhere in there

Could be. The other two run on a different fuse that I can not find. The light and lighter thing run on another that just runs the flip down tray which I was never using untilt he other two broke. They just stopped working, everything seems tight, nothing was moved. Just weird

Don't really know was just throwing it out there not really a specialist on thiis vehicle you own,just somethings i thought were the real problem maybe too much family guy or something

the fuse should be labeled AUX (Auxilary Power)

After you locate and fix the problem I would look for the source of the blown fuses. Seeing as you use them to charge your I would bet your charger is suspect.

AUX fuse did not seem blown, but I changed it and they started working again! Thanks. And also, the charger is bad, it blew a fuse in a friends car so I tossed it and bought a new one that is working fine. Thanks for all the help!

We run into those "lying" fuses quite often at work, especially when dealing with glass "barrell" fuses, so we always test fuses with a continuity tester. It's the only way to really know.
