What do you think?

Do you guys think that the rising/high gas prices is making cars with V8s totally unwantable even though they get good gas mileage especially for a V8.. I mean look at this! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LIKE-...QQcmdZViewItem
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Loade...QQcmdZViewItem
NEW CORVETTES..

Or how about.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1985-...QQcmdZViewItem

A prety good Vette with 1/3 of its engine life used.. I mean my Monte has the same miles or near to that and I gotta pay 10K for it

So someone explain why these cars which are very good being sold so low? Unless you gotta kill someone along with the payment.. So what I think is that right now is the time to BUY.

Re: What do you think?

Well they've all got between 6-9 days left. Which means they were probably just recently listed up there. I'd give it some time and you'll start to see some bids.

Re: What do you think?

Well all those Vettes I'm sure have a reserve price set no lower than $40k. So there's no possible chance of them selling any lower than that.

i always thought the reserve price was the buyit now price, and that 85 vette has no reserve.

Nah, the reserve price is the lowest price that the seller is willing to sell the item. Say, you just win an auction for $10 but next to the price it says "(Reserve not met)". That means, the seller is not obligated to sell the item to you (not saying he/she won't, they possibly might) because you didn't meet the price that he/she was willing to sell.

As for the 85 vette, well, I wasn't really referring to it. Mainly just the C6's since those were the ones in question.

I was looking around at the Camaros.. and oddly found 88s.. It was funny, I was like "That Camaro looks familier.. 88.. 2.8.." I felt like a dumbass, but thats beside the point, the point is I might be buying another Camaro cause I found a pretty good one for about 1K

Re: What do you think?

The 85 (and thereabouts) model year vette's are among the least desireable and that probably is the reason for the no reserve 1500.00 auction.. but wait and see what the winning bid is before you go getting all upset. And there's no way in HELL you're gonna get one of the newer one posted for anywhere near 20K, unless it's been beat to death and then it's probably not even worth that.

(I'd rather have a VW Thing or a pool table before an 85 vette.)
