Question why run a carb? FI is way superior and more fuel effecient which is very helpful especially this time of the year..

Re: lt1 question's

best bet is to sell the LT1 shortblock and get a small block. the only heads you can use on an LT1 block are LT1 heads, small block heads have different water passages due to the reverse flow cooling and certain emissions related components (egr)

converting to a standard distributor is far harder than what you need to do. you could put in a MSD opti, a remote moutned coil on plug setup, or a optically triggered front mount setup, which wouldnt have many more wires than an old school distributor and would be far more accurate. to switch to the old HEI setup youd need a new intake, new cam, and to perform several other mods, im not fully up to speed on the LT1, maybe Formula or Morley could help out more on this one.
