Looks like I'm not the only one...

...who likes to play with ML AMGs
http://videos.streetfire.net/Player....B00A&kw=33&p=0
Note:...video doesn't start getting REALLY interesting until about the 1:45 mark...notice how close they get to eachother with the subie's speedometer pinned...scary stuff.

Re: Looks like I'm not the only one...

Not sure...I know the top speed of a stock WRX is around 140 mph...but I am kind of confused because the video description just said "impreza" so I was like uhhh...watching that video makes me want to see how I'd stack up against a WRX...at least from a roll, because from a dig I know I wouldn't stand a chance.

Re: Looks like I'm not the only one...

Re: Looks like I'm not the only one...

My guess is that they would be gearing limited, but I don't know...we need RightLirr to answer that question.

Im not usually the one judging people, but I will say these guys are completely retarted to race at 160mph against an suv (at the same speed), passing traffic, jocking for position a car length apart for 2+ minutes. Any tiny thing could have gone wrong, and anyone involved would be a stain on that highway. Some people just need to learn when enough is enough.

stock wrx speedo tops out at 140mph. so they weren't going that fast. but going 140mph for a long ass time is still scary enough though. but i've been in cars going that fast with curves so going straight dodging traffic shouldn't be too bad.

Now that I look at it, it seems the scooby's speedo units are in km/h and not mph...I'm pretty sure the 3 digit numbers towards the far end of the dial started with 2....hmm...guess it wasn't a domestic race.
And I'd have to agree with Tat...although going 140 mph for extended periods of time is never safe, the traffic was sparse(notice the guy's dash clock said 2:17 and it was dark, so it was obviously 2:17 am).

Re: Looks like I'm not the only one...

Yeah, I've held 140+ through some modest twisties on a two lane desert highway(where the bugs pics came from) and it wasn't bad at all. However, I was the only car on the highway at 1:00 am.
