Unhappy broke college girl in need of help!!!!

I have a 96 geo metro and I have been having terrible trouble indentifying the reason my car wont stopped. I have been told in was the starter so I have changed the starter 5 times within a year. I was told it was the ignition switch and I recently had that changed that.. all this with over 500in total and my car still wont start. I think the mechanic is trying to to rip me off because now he says I need distributor..can someone please help me!!!!!

More information is required in order to break this problem down.

Does it crank? Does it have spark? Which engine? Stick or automatic?

well it cranks but it just never starts. its not a hard clicking sound that it was before when I was told the starter was broken. it sounds like it wants to turn over but it just doesnt. Ive had the starter battery and alternator tested and all are good
