still no hp

I put a d16z6 motor in my crx with si wiring intake and distributor. it looses torque at 5000 rpm's. can anyone help me?

did you wire up the vtec solenoid? sounds like vtec isnt kicking in.

it isnt what is the solenoid. the only solenoid i know of is on the starter. is it something in the 93 dizzy?

vtec solenoid looks like this...

taken from Honda Tuning... "The VTEC solenoid valve assembly, which includes a heat shield and is found on the back of the head above the oil filter location..."

EDIT: BTW, you know you need to wire up the vtec to turn on somehow by a controller either by a p28 ecu or a vafc. You can also use a on/off switch for vtec but that seems kind of ghetto...

wich wire do i hook up?
what rpms does it need to run?

Yes its 12v +. I think on that motor it kicks in around 5400rpm on the factory ecu but some people turn them down to around 3500.
