2002 Regal fog light button
I've purchase my mom's 2002 buick regal.. im very satisfied about the car.. theres only one thing that is bothering me:
During night driving, I push the fog light button to "on". Everything is working fine.. Then stopped the car and restart it again.. now the fog light is off.. but the button is in the "on" position.. I have to press it off and then on again.. Seems the button cannot hold to the "on" position.. Am I the only one who has that kinda problem or is it normal?! Thanks guys!!! Btw, is 30 mpg (highway-city mixed) is good for the car?! Katana |

In the engine compartment fuse box is a fog lamp relay. Check it out. Doesn't sound like it is working right. Good luck! ![]()

Re: 2002 Regal fog light button
I know the fuse box under the hood and where each fuse is located but for the relay, is this a I-can-do-it-myself action?! Just tell me what is a relay(sorry im french) and thats it.. I'm gonna switch them for sure

Yes, it is something you can do yourself (DIY). In the fuse box under the hood, just remove the cover and there is a placard on the lid. It will show all fuses and relays. The relays are those little square objects that are either silver or black in color. There are bigger than the fuses. They are plug in, so they can be removed by unplugging. Just get a good grip on one and pull up. Also, the relays will have part numbers stamped on them. The horn and fog light relay should be the same. The horn relay may be marked 16. The fog light relay marked 17. They will be somewhere in the middle of the fuse box. Also since the horn relay is hot at all times, it's a good idea to disconnect the battery before switching the relays out so the relays are not damaged. Be sure to reconnect the battery before seeing if it works or if the problem is still there. Good Luck!

Re: 2002 Regal fog light button
well finally what I did was very simple... instead of checking everything.. I took a little piece of thick paper and stucked it between the lower dash and the fog button itself... did an amazing job.. its unnoticeable :P thanks a lot for the advise!
