1999 Voyager parking brake
My 1999 voyager parking brake is not engaged. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks a lot in advance.

I will assume that this vehicle uses the common parking brake cables that go from the brake lever to the back brakes.
I would first check to make sure that they are there, undamaged and that they do not have too much slack in them. Then I would look at the back brakes to make sure there is nothing wrong with the parking brake shoes. If it turns out that the cables are too loose, get a Haynes or Chiltons manual and adjust them following the instructions in the book. |

waltham41, all that you described works. What is not working is that brake level cannot be locked. I do not hear clicking sound while pressuring the level. Thanks. |

Something is either broke or is froze up and not moving as it should when you depress the parking brake lever. You need to remove the side cover so you can see the rachet action of the lever, it may just need some lubricant or it may have a piece broken and need to be replaced |
