oil changes.
I have a '99 SW1
I'm suppossed to change my oil at 5000 KM, which is around 3000 miles. What's the change interval in the US? Also, the oil is very black at 5000 KM, so I'll change it anyway. My previous cars (imports) had golden colored oil after 5000 Km, but this is the first all-aluminum engine I've owned, and Al-oxide is black. It uses about a litre of oil per oil change, at 115000 km.(71000 miles) Do I have anything to worry about? Thanks |

All saturns wherever they are (Canada, U.S., Japan, Antarctica, Mars, Jupiter) must have their oil changed every 3000 miles and not a mile further. they use up oil pretty quickly.
