hooking up ipod

I bought a Scosche Audio Modulator at walmart thinking i could hook my ipod up to my 03 Civic but it gives off an annoying wining noise. Is this because its competing with the electrical system or what? Sorry if there is already a post on this, but I couldnt find anything on it. If you could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks so much.

Re: hooking up ipod

see if your cd player has an auxillary intput, if it does then you can use a rca calble to hook up your ipod.
if not, then i would buy a new cd player, that was the cheapest solution for me.

Ok well i have decided to take the scosche modulator back to walmart b/c i found a good deal on a Honda Ipod Interface Adapter on ebay. its model HOIP-01. Made by Metra - Axxess Wiretunes is what its called. Anyways it hooks into the cd changer in the back of the stock head unit. when i hook it up the screen on my ipod changes to say AXXESS - then on another line it says its ok to disconnect. does anyone have any experience with these things. i have not had that much time to mess around with it but with the tiem i've spent it seems very unreiliable. i would get pictures up but i cant figure out how. i hope i have explained it enough. let me know if ya'll can help and/or need any more info. thanks so much
