Question 2004 2500hd 4x4 Crew Cab cold air intake

I am thinking about installing a K&N cold air intake on my truck. I would like to know if anyone has this intake installed on their truck, and if so what difference does it make in fuel economy/performance (hp). Also if by installing this intake would it void the remaining factory warranty?

I have a Silverado with the 5.3 engine with a K&N FIPK, Gibson turbo muffler and Superchips programmer and the difference in the truck is amazing. It runs and shifts much better. Do you have the 6.0 engine? That's even better. If you have a diesel I can't help you there. The K&N gets the air in...the Gibson lets it out and the programmer lets the engine take advantage of it.

Sonny01, I do have the 6.0L engine. The set-up you have sounds sweet, is there any noticeable improvement in the fuel economy?

Thanks,
