Positvie post gets hot immediately, trk won't start
My husband just bought an 82 Diesel VW Rabbit Truck from a neighbor who passed away. He is trying to get it started. He put a new battery and starter on it and it still won't start.
He said that when he turns on the Ignition the positive post gets real hot immediately. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance |

That's probably because the glow plugs are drawing current. If the relay is stuck on you may want to disconnect it. Diesels take high amperage batteries, did he get the right one?
