Radiator Fan
Hi,
My daughters 96 Cavalier has an unusual problem the Cooling fan starts when the car is started from cold, never goes off, engine check light is on? AC is off and has not worked for ever. I disconnected the sensor wiring to the thermostat, fan still ran. put a jumper across the two pins in the plug fan still ran. Any Ideas |

the cooling fan in my 96 z24 just stopped working a couple months ago and I yanked a used one out at the JY put it in and then it worked, however, it turned on when I started the car cold, and runs nonstop (cold or hot) now. Now, I am almost a hundred percent sure that my Original fan only ran when the car needed, but the one I just put in just runs and runs. For me its just a matter of whether I want my car PERFECT or not. Being that my car is flawess, smokefree, rust free, clean as a whistle, it does irritated me a bit, but I've let it slide in the mean time as I am very busy with college, work etc.
there is a possibility that I monkied around with the relay too. (like the second poster said you should check). that could be. or like he said, an elctrical test. if you're like me and came to this site to get help free (why else would we come here) than see if anyone else posts. I would like to pinpoint this problem |
