clutch pedal feels too easy

I just re[laced my clutch with a stock regular clutch. The drives fine but the clutch pedal feels way too easy (light) than before. I bled the clutch fluid too. Is this normal? Will it tighten up with time? What could be wrong?

Re: clutch pedal feels too easy

could just be the stock pressure plate is a little lighter feeling. if there was a major problem like it not being bled enough then you would probably have trouble with it returning all the way. i just recently replaced my clutch and it felt different (softer) than the old clutch...but it bites a hell of alot better.

Yeah, the stock clutch fels incredibly light, there's no pressure at all, it's normal, but annoying.

Re: clutch pedal feels too easy

I put a spec stage 3 clutch in my ka24de.

for a while it felt really light compared to my old act stage 1.

But after a while, it just kinda tightened up. I didn't realize it until I was thinking about how much it sucked, then I hop in, and realize that it's much tighter that it used to be.

I say wait a while for it to break in completely, mine took about a 1k miles.

But maybe thats just how the clutch was when it was brand new, and it got stiffer over age, when you bought it.

thats just my 2cents.

Re: clutch pedal feels too easy

Do this, bleed the system well, fill with good brake fluid, and install one of these clutch lines. The clutch should feel pretty good after that. But just the loop modification works very well. And make sure you bleed it well after that. Air bubbles can be a PITA.

Re: clutch pedal feels too easy

No you don't have to bleed the fluid after replacing the clutch.

ACT does give a slightly stiffer feel. I like a stiff clutch.

That damper box does give a mushy feel to the clutch tho. I recommend removing it for ease of a system. Less things to go wrong. Plus bleeding is way easier with it gone.
