Lime Rock Vintage Festival 2005

Another Lime Rock Vintage Festival... and 3 more days of soaking in the F1 GTR. I took a ton of pictures (too many!). The McLaren F1 images start here: http://douging.smugmug.com/gallery/787301/12 . This car has been photographed incessently in recent years so I didn't take too many.

But as a bonus, I did take some video. This is from the paddock area and the GTR goes through Lime Rock's Esses and then down the back straight. It's not exciting to watch but the sound is incredible so turn up your speakers... http://www.turnermotorsport.com/F1_video.htm . I'll leave that up for a little while but then it has to come down.

Enjoy!

Cool video Drew - thanks for making that for us. The way the sound echos off the trees is awesome!

Did you meet up with Chris there?

Any chance either of you figured out how to get a ride in it?

Re: Lime Rock Vintage Festival 2005

Lime Rock is such a small track and with only 1 or 2 cars on it with the F1 the sounds were fantastic!

Chris saw me but he must have been so awe-struck that he couldn't speak because he said I walked right by him.

They were only giving rides to hot chicks...

Ok - I'm willing to take drastic measures to look like a hot chick for a day. I'll see you there next year - just call me Erika.

It was truly an amazing event this year. I was drooling the whole time over the numerous vintage ferraris, jags and astons. I didn't even have a close look at the F1. I got some nice shots of it though. I arrived at 7 on both days and NOBODY was around.

Unforntunatley, i missed Drew but i did meet up with some FChatters and briefly met Karc.

Pics should be up sooner or later

Chris
