The Italian Tomato Garden

An old Italian man lived alone, and he wanted to
Plant his usual tomato garden. Alas, it was very hard
work for him at his age, as the ground was hard.
His only son, Vincent, helped him in past years, but
Now was incarcerated for a lengthy prison term.

The man wrote a letter to his son and described his
Plight as follows:

Dear Vincent,
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able
to plant my tomato garden this year.
I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot.
If you were here my troubles would be over, as I know you
would dig the plot for me.
Love Dad

A few days later he received this letter from his son.

Dear Dad,
Not for nothing, but don't dig up that garden.
That's where I buried the BODIES.
Love Vinnie

Precisely at 0400 hours the next morning, ATF and FBI
agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire
area without finding even a single body. They apologized
to the old man and departed at approximately eleven-
thirty that morning.

That same day the old man received this letter:

Dear Dad,
Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now.
That's the best I could do under the circumstances.
Love, Vinnie

Re: The Italian Tomato Garden

That's actually a really touching story. The old man is dying, and the young man is in prison, both lives are ending, but still something good comes out of the story in a clever way. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm quite high, my fingers are crisscrossing themselves on the keyboard, so I'm sorry.
