Exhaust leak

Is it common on a 97 Rodeo to develop a exhaust leak? On acceleration you can hear it tick with a exhaust sound also, which dissapears as soon as the engine get warm.

sounds like maybe you have a gasket on the way out. Once it heats up it expands and seals itself up.

which gasket could be making that sound and then dissapearing?
