I need to know what kind of motor mounts to use to swap a 67 straight six (250) to a 78 GMC truck 4 wheel drive 350. I have 67 chevelle malibu two door hardtop with a powerglide trans. I'm stuck! Any help would be appreciated!! thanks murfschevl67

It might drop right in using the existing truck mounts onto the 6 banger frame mounts. I've done passenger V8 swaps where a truck 6 had been using what was on the passenger motor.
At the worst, you might want to buy a set of the stock V8 Chevelle motor mounts as the truck mounts might be old and dried out. Take a tape measure and check the bolt to bolt distances on both motors, I think you'll find this easier than you think. Bob |

Motor Mounts
Hi Bobss396 Thanks For The Info On Motor Mounts. The Mounts From The Six Are Too Small . The Brackets On The Truck Are Too Wide! I'll Check Into The Stock Chevelle V-8 Mounts. A Friend Of Mine Told Me The Same Thing. So I'll Go To The Auto Parts And See If They Can Fix Me Up. Thanks Again!! Murfschevl67

Just FYI, but i found out the hard way that in a 70 Chevelle, 307 mounts are different than 350 mounts.
I dunno if its the same deal in 67, but just dont get 307 mounts! |
