how much would you pay for a 96...

Sunday I was driving around Nashua hew Hampshire and I decided to pull into MacMulkin Chevrolet. Just sitting there waiting for me was the nicest looking 96 caprice I’ve ever seen. The dealership was closed but the car was unlocked. It only has 30700 miles, and is fully loaded leather, cd, dual power seats, new tires, and probly the best part, it’s a 350. book value is 5500 and their asking 12999. I went and test-drove it today, and it was fast. I offered them 7000 and the salesperson said he has to talk to the manager, five minutes go by and he comes back to tell me that the car is sold (yeah right), sorry for the inconvenience. Never have I been treated like that by a dealership before.

Yeah car dealers, a nice lot of people. I rank them right up there with crack addicts, NY Mets fans and pedophiles. I've mellowed a bit in the last 20 or so years, back then if this hapened to me, the dealer would be pricing out a new paint job for that car.

http://www.macmulkinchevrolet.com/ go to used inventory, then chevy, and then caprice.

Yeah their trying to get 6000 more than they should. The funny thing is, under the car is like it was when it rolled off of the assembly line. There isn’t one spot of rust its like it was stored in a heated garage. It just pisses me off, because I would have bought it that day. Well, they wont sell it for that much, but someone will buy it

edit: they also list the style as an SS but its not, its a caprice classic

Do they still have the car on the lot? Is it possible that you were discriminated against for some reason? I know of someone that was treated unfairly by a car dealer based on his national origin. The sales person even made a derogatory comment, so he wasn't imagining things. He made a stink with the dealer association and they did cut him an extra special deal on another car.
