Hi everybody,
Is there a way to get Cobra Colors or Model Car World paints in Canada? Both companies can't ship directly to customers outside US but is there any official resellers for these products? Or unofficial resellers... |

Unfortunately not. They are unable to ship to dealers in Canada either. I would love to carry their paints if they could.

But how come the Alclad 2 and Tamiya paint can be shipped to our backyard?

Tamiya has an importer in just about every country they sell things in. The same goes for Alclad. Small companies like MCW and Cobra Colors do not. Since MCW and Cobra Colors are made in the US, they have two options. They can go the expensive route and ship everything surface, pay additional hazard fees, and provide MSDS's for every shipment on the box with a detailed list of all contents. Even after that they face the risk of the shipment being refused. Or they can simply just not sell outside the country. Also, larger companies have an advantage in that they ship so much that the shipping cost is actually so little per item.

Re: MCW or Cobra Colors paint in Canada
Nic is correct. Additionally, I understand that a company shipping so called "hazardous material" has to pass some form of certification and that is to expensive for a small company.
