96-98 honda civic jdm ctr headlights

hey guys i just bought a pair of these headlights and i want to know if anyone knows how to rig the city lights?i think they are cool and dont knwo to many people with these headlights.please post some pics of yours on your car and how much you payed.i have the chrome ones not the black ones and they cost me 460.i just also got a carbon fiber hood and carbon fiber eyelids ill post a pic as soon as i put them on today.

I don't know personally, but Legacyciv has 96-98 the CTR headlights and is currently rigging up his citylight.. maybe he could help you out.

I think he got the sockets, bulbs, wires and I think he might need a transformer of some kind still... don't quote me on that though.

I couldn't find a pic of them on a 96-98... but here they are on a 99-00 EK Hatch.

It's the little light inside the housing of the headlamp.

i was wondering mine lood diffrernt then those are the 99 diffrent from the 98?it says stanley and they have the city lights!they came in a official honda box marked jdm type r head lights.

I think you need to pick up some Prelude [bumper] lights (or something similar)... actually the harnesses and bulbs. I believe that they will fit in the city light slot.
Then, just wire them in the fashion that you want (to a relay or switch or w/ the parking lights or whatever...).

can u post a pictures of those 98 type r headlights, i know they look diff from the 99s and ive never seen them b4. The city light bulb and sockets are sold separately, u can search the web for them..they are a special kind of bulb and i think they include a wiring harness

Note that there is no place for a corner reflector. The housing is gunmetal, but it's not nearly as dark as the 99-00 CTR housing. In person, you'd see the difference.

I don't have a closer pic right now, my friend has 98 CTR headlights... maybe I'll take a pic of them soon and post it. The city light is barely visible in the pic, but its inside the headlight section of the housing in the lower left corner.

** another huge difference that I failed to mention about the CTR headlights is that there isn't any cover over the bulb. Here in the US we have covers to make sure that the light isn't just a straight beam to try not to blind people. The JDM CTRs DO NOT have this, and they are about 10x brighter... Brights are just blinding... all depending on the bulbs.

These are black. They also have the hole for the city lights. They're JDM but I don't know if they are CTR headlights or not. I was unaware they came in black as well.
