Alright,
I'm looking at replacing the intake manifold on my Talon. So, I got some questions... Take a look a this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-I...97228442QQrdZ1 1) Can something like this pass emmissions? 2) Can I still use the stock TB, FIs, Fuel Rail? 3) How's installation? If it's anything like the exhaust, looks like I got a full day ahead of me if/when I get it. 4) Can something like this still pass emmissions? Emmissions is a big thing for me. Im scared that I can't pass right now, even though my exhaust is cat-ted. Is there any other manifold you guys would suggest? Kinda cheap in price too. Thanks

Re: Intake Manifold Questions
They claim, and i quote "Increased volumetric efficiency by 70% over stock intake manifold"
That statement would scare me away right their. Just becasue you have a 1.8L, I will say yes. Buy it. There are elements to Induction that provide excelent flow results. One of them is Volosity stacks, another is pentlum design, size. If you notice Magnus, and all other proven aftermarket intake mannys have strait runner, no 90deg bends will decrease airflow volosity. I think thats the only 1.8l intake manny i know of. im sure it will increase airflow in the upper rpm's. it's very possable your lower rpm airflow will decrease. It's cheap, why not.

I don't know anything about that manny. Might want to ask the seller.. I doubt they've incorperated emmissions into the design. Just put your stock manny and sensors back on the car when its time to get checked. you dont want hot exhaust gasses going into the intake anyway.
