Unhappy accident report!!!

hey,, i'm new to the whole life of automobiles.., but i have a question. I just recently got into an accident and pretty much indented my whole right front of myhonda civic ex(96) it's still drivable.., but i wanna know how can i get it back the way it was,, before the dent and busted headlight.. before the scraped off paint.. do you think a body shop from honda can make it look good again/ and how much would you think it would cost to replace a 96 civic body.., i dont want to go to a place that will only patch it up and you can tell, i want it to look like it was never in a wreck? please fill me in???/

Re: accident report!!!

your gonna have to shop around the body shops by you and see who will do the best work for the cheapest money. If the chasis needs to be straightened you will have to let them know. Be very specific about what happend so they can understand what will need to be done besides new body panels. Hows the steering, any new noises rattles or shakes? I went to a shop when i was first hit, it was a rearend hit and i had to replace the hood front bump fenders, rear bump new paint and probably more then that and they hit me off for $4000 but damn they did good paint work. Everyone asked if it was 1 new car.... no, its 10yrs old. LOL

Re: accident report!!!

You can replace the fender and headlight assembly and assembly brackets or whatever else. Don't go to Honda though cuz you'll have to max out your credit cards to fix your car back to stock and you don't want that right. Go to a body shop and have them look at it. Have them itemize the parts that would need to be replaced. Then go to a junkyard and get those parts. You'll save tons of $ Obviously, your car is still drivable right? BTW, welcome to the forum...
