Power Seats

The driver side power seat in my 2000 Silverado recently quit working. The passenger side still works. I checked the fuse and it seems to be working. Is there a seperate fuse in the seat itself or am I looking at a big expensive trip to the dealer. Any help would be appreciated.

Rob

Re: Power Seats

It could be the seat motor man....if the fuses are still good, that might be your only other thing to check. I've never had power seats, so I'm not sure.

i agree. i've had problems with power seats in the past and everytime it was the motor that went bad. I had an '89 T-bird (i know *gasp* it's a ford!) and the motor went bad in it. It worked in every direction except to move back and it was all the way forward and I'm 6'2 it was not pretty. Your best bet is to check junkyards for a wrecked truck and hope for the best.

there is no fuse in the seat. but there are a few plugs under there, that could be loose or corroded or something. i would check those. you might also try to use the power switch and push the seat maybe it is just jammed have seen it happen before.
