Smile I have read the stickys, now im looking for a reccomendation based on needs. HELP

I have a few questions I haven't been able to find answers for hopefully the inteligence of some of the guys on this board can help steer me in the right direction.

well I just have 4 speakers to power, some pioneer 3way 4x6's in doors, and 2way 6x9s in back. I dont have a good cdplayer but i dont want a new one, its a Pioneer DEH-16 50w x 4. Im not really concerned about a sub right now and if I do decide to get one I will probably get a seperate amp for it. Im a very tight budget so hopefully im making right choices.

I just want my cars audio to sound about as good as a stock, but premium system in a new model car.

Now my questions are:

1) is their a tutorial on how i can install an amp in my car I have a 1997 cavalier 4door sedan, maybe a write up some where online? or can some one give me basic insturctions. I have no knowledge in this area but I learn fast. Do i need a wiring kit for it?

2) Im not sure what type of amp to buy, Lets say I have about a 150.00 max price range? can someone give me specs I should look for based off my goals for sound. Also a certain amp or atleast a brand. To be honest Im going to buy it off ebay which im sure isnt recommended, but even good products are on their for fairly cheap.

Thanks in advanced for any one who can help me out I apprecieate it.

Im just searching for 4 channel amps right now and looking the lowest priced ones first

Thanks Paul, after doing a little research I found it definitly does matter what kind of amp Im using If I dont want to blow my speakers. I have yet to get my rear speakers but they will be 6x9 2way I think.

These are the Front speakers I purchased:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-XfSwZ51...fying+speakers

So what factors do I need to make sure of when buying an amp? those speakers say:
» recommended power range 2-20 watts RMS, so does this mean I cannot go over 20 watts RMS or they will blow? how do I make sure I dont hook up a suicide amp that will destroy my speakers. I just want enough to make it sound louder then the crappy stock 50x4 becasue I cannot get it past 75% volume with out it being distorted.

could someone recommend an amp for this?

a 50X4 amp will be fine for those speakers. The reason it distorts at 75% volume is that the gain setting is not right. A lot of power is not really about volume, it's about headroom and lack of distortion and clipping at lower listening levels.
