Final Drive of 2002 Auto

Whats the Rear diff ratio of a 2002 Trans Am. Is it a different diff than the 6spd?

So the auto has a worse ratio than the 6spd whish has a 3.42? It usually is the other way around.

Gear ratio is usually based on transmission gear ratio. So depending on which manual or auto you were refering to that is why they may have done it backwards.

yall are making this too difficult. I want to know what the rear differential ratio is for an automatic 2002 trans am. NOT the overall ratio or the transmission ratio. JUST the diff.

Like MR.Luos said it could be 2.73 or 3.23 there is not way of knowing without opening up the cover or looking at the RPO's, As for making it too difficult. I was just responding to you saying it was backwards,.
