Please help

My Grandparents gave me a 1987 BMW 735I that has been sitting in their drive for several years
I have drained all the old gas and put in new gas
Changed the spark plugs and the oil and oil filter
Also turned the crank
It sounds like it wants to start but just not getting a fire...battery is fine
Any suggestions would be great I'm a 16 year old kid and this is pretty much my only chance at a car cause Dad is a deadbeat and doesn't pay so if the suggestions you make could be low budget that would be even more appreciated
Thanks a bunch

Check that you have pulse (power) to the injectors, use a test light to check there is power there, check that fuel is actually getting to the engine, you should hear the fuel pump pushing it through if you get under the car and get someone to turn to accesories, check your leads have spark and that the distributor is rotating and clean it out of all corrosion. Also make sure that the air filter isnt blocked and that the air piping is clean after a few years something may have nested in there, take the air filter off and try and start it too. Does it fire at all? or just try? The crank angle sensor is also a problem a friend has had with his and may be dead, best of luck mate.
