Exhaust smells
I have a 98 blazer LT with around 83,000mi and the exhaust has always smelled a certain way (or at least whenever ive been outside the car while its running, usually when i first start it) it doesnt really smell bad just like all others, but today i was running flags routs and had been goosing it a little and when i got out it smelled a little like burning oil. is this normal after reving an engine high or after it warms up or something, or did i mess something up? It doesnt smoke or anything and runs great.

Re: Exhaust smells
Did you check for oil leaks?

Re: Exhaust smells
I've only had it for a little over 1,000 miles, i changed the oil right when i got it and the level hasn't gone down any noticible amount. I dont know what the previous owner was using but i put in penzoil synthetic. and i dont know if i made it very clear in the first post but put short it smells one way when it first starts and after ive been driving a while and it gets nice and warmed up it smells a little like burning oil, not very noticible unless you get right next to the tailpipe and waft.

Re: Exhaust smells
Check for any oil leaks around your engine.
