sunroof help!

I have a '95 GTP. I got it about a year ago and the sunroof has never really worked properly, it would only open at certain times. The other day I opened it and it wouldn't close. It then rained for about 2 days straight and now I am afraid it is completely broken. I think all of the rain might have ruined all the electrical stuff on it. My dad took a look at it and said that it was not a bad fuse so I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do you think that is something that I could get at a junk yard and have my dad install it? He is really good with car stuff. Or will I have to take it somewhere and pay a ton of money? Thanks!

Re: sunroof help!

the biggest hassle is removing the car's headliner, which can be a pain in the butt. The actual replacement isn't that difficult, so I believe your dad could handle it.

Do you know how to remove the headliner? My 1994 GTP does the same thing. Sunroof will work perfectly some days, other days I click the switch over and over and absolutely nothing happens. The motor never "struggles"...it either works perfectly....or not at all.

If you could give me some tips on how to remove the headliner so I don't completely destroy it, please let me know. Any other tips on how to do this job, and how much to expect to pay for replacement parts, or even a good place to shop....I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,
