I think best way to clean leather is to use warm water and some detergent free soap. Then use a leather conditioner, I've been using a product called Hide Food by the Connelly Leather company, it is pretty good stuff. I got the tip from a Jag service department man. They even sell the stuff if you want to pay through the nose. You should be able to find it at about $10 - $15 a jar, but it lasts a long time. I've heard other people recommending lexol also.

LEATHERIQUE!!

This stuff ROCKS!

The leather in my G was so awful when I bought it and it looked really really good after using this stuff.

<http://www.leatherique.com/>

These people really know their leather.

I guess while we're on the topic what is a really good cleaner for the other G seats (the fabric ones ) and the interior carpet.

You see canadian winters have taken their toll on my interior, I I gotta clean her up.

I agree with P10DET. The Leatherique is the way to go.

I purchased both the Rejuvinator Oil and the Pristine Cleaner to restore the seats on my Jag. The restorer will really soften up the leather and pull all kinds of crud out of it. The cleaner works really well too. I use it on the dashboard and vinyl as well.

My "other" ride.

Oh shoot! I forgot to mention my dash!! When I got the car, the dash was so dry it had little white speckles and just looked like it would split just looking at it. We used the Leatherique on it and it has looked like new ever since!

Oh yeah, the softening is incredible too. The leather in my car was never cared for. It was so hard when we got it, but now is nice and soft. We're getting ready to go over it again.

Huh? I always thought that you should never get water on your leather seats. I like Meguiars leather conditioner. You can really tell the difference when you apply it. Works great on black leather too. :bandit:
