94 civic ex stock tweeters
I just got a 94 civic ex, it had the premium sound in it from the factory. Everything says acoustic research on it, and the head unit has an anti-theft code. I replaced the head unit and some of the speakers, but my question is, where do the tweeters get thier power from? The wiring harness is the same as any other civic of that generation, but there are separate power wires running into the door. The factory service manual doesn't even list it, and says to look in the accessory manual, which i dont have. I'm just curious because I've never even heard of one of these having stock tweeters.

Re: 94 civic ex stock tweeters
I have a 2000 Civic with factory tweeters as well. The power branches off the door speakers wires. Basically the power wire goes to the door and splits off. One set go to the door speaker and the other set powers the tweeter.
I disconnected mt factory tweeter when i installed 3-way Infinity Kappa's with a tweeter & super tweeter installed. Plus my factory tweeters broke when the face came off and ripped the cone from the magent. |

This doesn't branch off in the door, I followed it all the way into the dash somewhere and then I finally lost it when it went into one of those 1" thick bundles. The tweeters still work great, I was just wondering where the heck the wires came out of.
