Bulldog Security alarm 05 sierra

FASD (factory alarm shut down wire) is what i am looking for here. Directions are telling me... "probe for a small gauge wire (usually found in the driver's side kick panel) that shows (-) ground when the door lock cylinder is turned to the unlock position using the key. This wire will usually show a (+) positive voltage before turning the key. Note: Some factory disarm wires remain neutral before you turn the key to the unlock instead of +12v positive. Connect the RED WITH BLACK STRIPE wire from the 9-pin harness to this wire." Now what i am getting confused by is,,, are they wanting my ignition key in the ignition,, or in the door itself and turning it to lock/unlock searching for this LAST wire i have to finish the job

Any suggestions or thoughts would be much obliged, Thx for your time

They are asking you to stick your key in the doorlock cly. and unlock it. Unfortunatly you won't find the wire in the kick because the doors have there own doorlock modules built in the doors.
You will have to take the door panel off and solder onto the doorlock module(I wouldn't), or you can buy a bypass module from a local install shop. I recommend a product made by Bypass Kits model #GMDLBP S5, you only have a 1 wire hookup to the obd connector.
One more thing if you love your truck stay away from bulldog.
