91 SL2: How to flush & replace Power Steering Fluid
My friends 91 was making a hydraulic groan when I began to cut the wheel when I was backing out of my driveway in the morning. Thanks to the members of this forum who suggested I replace the PS Fluid, because it is like 15 years old. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks, John |

Re: 91 SL2: How to flush & replace Power Steering Fluid
I've changed brake fluids and power steering fluids this way:
Take an old oil bottle, put 2 hoses into the top. Mark one hose. put the other hose in the reservoir, and suck on the marked one. Refill, and change in a week or two if needed. It easy, and as long as there isn't a problem, you'll get clean, new oil in a while. I did this to my van, a litre went in, over a few weeks, and it's much cleaner. I'll probably do it again next summer. |
