AC Pressure on engine problems
My 1999 malibu seems to be having AC load problems. I first noticed a sound like my fan motor coming on and off when I slow down. Then when I accerate, it sounds like a slight miss. I turned my AC off and it seems to go away. So I am perplexed with this problem. Can anyone help?

I have a similar but different problem with my 1998.
Recently when the A/C is on I can hear my engine whining as I accelerate. It seems to stop when the A/C is off. This happens when the Defroster is one also, can it be the compressor failing?
