Re: d16 swap

every state im also certain wont allow you to legally put an older motor than the car into it. you may want to check that first.

Re: d16 swap

yes the motor will swap but youll need the obd conversion harness, but why not just get a d16y8 from your model year?

if you want a D build up *I advise against it but w/e search for why*
there have been issuces i've seen and read about with the Y blocks mainly the y8 yet the head is pretty cool with a great flowing intake mani all oem.

the z6 block with a y8 head is probbly best setup for Ds I like y8 head for its intake mani and better quench zones then the z6.

Re: d16 swap

i would have to agree w/ ace....that is a pretty good setup, but the y8 head can only flow so much, even w/ a port/polish head, cam, springs, retainers....i mean it'll pull all the way till 9200rpm(where i stop pulling) but it lacks the power u can get from 2 cams...i was once in ur shoe's, then i blew a valve spring retainer, droped a valve, bent the valve guide, and bought an 05 Acura TL...now my civic is sittin in the garage collecting dust...
